DesignCon 2010

20 January 2010 2 Comments

dc10_bigTwo weeks from now, in the heart of the Silicon Valley, many of the top design firms and printed circuit board professionals will be attending DesignCon 2010.  Held at the Santa Clara Convention Center from February 1st-4th, this show promises to be a very valuable event for many.  Already the line-up of exhibitors is impressive, IECwith exhibitors ranging from small consulting firms such as The Bogatin Group, to large, multi-national companies like Tyco Electronics.   See the full list here.

I have spoken with several individuals in the last few weeks who hold high expectations, and look to DesignCon as being the most valuable show of the year.  Although that is personal opinion, I can easily see why those sentiments have been shared.

If you’re in the area, be sure to register and attend the show.  You can buy your various passes here.

I wanted to meet with Cirexx Int. while attending the show, but i did not see any representation from Cirexx. Why would you include this info on your plog for a show your company was not involved with. Thanks for the info i did meet a another PCB vendor who will be working with me on my next flex rigid project. Signed Confused.

    Dave,

I can understand your confusion. There are a few ways to answer your question.

I’m sorry that you were looking for Cirexx and that we were not in attendance. That is very unfortunate.

HotPCB is designed to be a resource to the PCB Community, not a sales pitch for Cirexx. It is our desire to provide valuable information to individuals such as yourself, regardless of whether you are/become a customer. DesignCon is a great tradeshow – one of the best, and so I feel that failing to mention it because we are not attending would be a mistake.

Also, I had every intention of attending the show, and while not exhibiting, to walk the floor as press – eager to continue developing HotPCB as an objective resource to the community of PCB professionals. Unfortunately, my travel plans were altered late last week and I was not able to attend.

Feel free to give me a call. I would love to hear your opinions on DesignCon as a whole, and for a moment live vicariously through your experience there. I’m looking out the window at bitter cold and snow…

Again, wish I could have attended.

    Sincerely,

    Liam
