Doesn’t it drive you nuts when people chime in on your suffering with no encouragement, but rather, empty words? In Part 4, “It Could be Worse”, Marissa Oskarsen tells a story that exemplifies this occurrence. Enjoy!

Pay Attention: Short Stories from the Road by Marissa Oskarsen – Pt. 1

I first met Marissa Oskarsen at the PCB East show in early spring 2009 outside of Boston.  Just as I am unique within the industry due to my age, so too is she unique considering how few women work within the field of printed circuit board sales.  We have kept in touch since, and she was one of the first people to whom I pitched the idea of an industry blog.  We have talked a few times about ways that she can contribute to this project, and we have finally …

Eric grew up in Swampscott, MA – 25 minutes or so north of Boston.  As a boy scout he became fascinated with Ham Radios, went on to get licensed, and …

The Designer Portfolio – A New Initiative

At HotPCB we’re really to serve those who are involved in the PCB industry, particularly Designers.  In my time talking with various people, I have come to realize that a section dedicated to featuring designers would be a great addition.  The goal is to weekly feature a designer, and to develop an archive of Biographies.
Designers have started contacting me concerning this project, and the enthusiasm is contagious.  Many have asked me to describe how it will work, what type of biographies we are looking for, how it will help them, …
