Varian Medical Systems came to Cirexx for the development of a complex board for use in Magnetic
Resonance Imaging (MRI) machines. MRI's uses a medical imaging technique most commonly used
in radiology to visualize the internal structure and function of the body. This method provides much
greater contrast between the different soft tissues of the body than computed tomography (CT).
What made the board for the MRI unique such a unique engineering challenge was the need to
develop a successful process for us to build the product from concept stage to live production.
Over the course of an entire year Cirexx Int in conjunction with Varian Medical Systems worked on developing a successful process
for the development of their MRI board. Several attempts were made to progress the 18 layer rigid flex board from concept stage to
live production. Cirexx Intl, helped put together the process and eventually produced approximately 3000 boards over the course of
six years which was use in the final products.
